As a child, I sat in front of my parent's old manual typewriter and created worlds out of nothing. In Junior High, I wrote a Choose Your Own Adventure style book in my computer programing class. So of course, when it came time to chose a "proper profession," I became a teacher. I taught Junior High and High School, and then thanks to a bad experience coaching volleyball and the addition of a life-altering illness to the mix, I decided to go back to school and get my Master's Degree. And just to show that I was thumbing my nose at the practical world, my emphasis was on Medieval Lit. and Comparative Lit. My thesis was, "Beowulf, Zarathustra, and Batman: The Communicative Nature of Texts Through Time." I then went on to teach college English and Literature with some success until one day, something strange happened.

My brother had the itch to film something but needed a script. I thought I had some ideas that might look good on film. I was supposed to write a short. I wrote a feature-length script, two shorts and another feature before I realized that this was what I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life. I hopscotched from Idaho to New Mexico to Los Angeles and have lived here happily ever since.

I've worked for major production companies, written for online gaming magazines, ghost-written comic books and screenplays, and amassed quite the library of my own work. I've studied at UCLA with some really terrific writers, and even gotten to go to Italy on a writing sabatical, which will remain one of my favorite memories ever. While I continue my own writing, I've made it my goal to help others make their mark in this crazy whirlwind called Hollywood. We're all in the adventure together... let's make the most of it!!!
